Hmmm... LET'S DO SOME SPIRITUAL CALCULATIONS:
1 (KINGDOM) + 2 (RIGHTEOUSNESS) = THINGS X THINGS = ALL THINGS
This is what Jesus says: " Seek FIRST the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, and ALL THESE THINGS shall be added to you. In the preceding versus, we learn he was speaking about "what to eat", "what to drink", and "what to wear". Otherwise, all of your basic needs.
Miles Munroe had some amazing insight into this Jesus promise: "Jesus says that when we make the Kingdom of God our one priority, all these other things that we have spent our lives pursuing will turn around and pursue us ! They will chase us down! This is a fundamental principle of the Kingdom of God."
ell, granted this is not scripture, but it certainly does apply to THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD.
Now we see that the wonder of the Mystery of The RIGHTEOUSNESS of GOD is all about God Himself. He Sent HIs only begotten Son, Jesus, "that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus." (Romans 3:26b). God knew that He would need to solve the sin problem Himself and reconcile fallen man. Even as He entered into Covenant with Abraham, we learn that "... when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself...". (Hebrews 6:13). 'When man sinned he separated himself from the fellowship of the Father. The whole drama of Redemption is consummated in this ---man must be restored to perfect fellowship with the Father and it must be done upon legal grounds.' (EWK).
GOD DECLARES THAT HE HIMSELF HAS BECOME OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
FAITH makes the way for our part: when we take Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, we become the Righteousness of God in Him. "Being therefore declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." (Romans 5:1).
