Follow First: A Lifelong Road Map // Matthew 5-7"
Blessed are you (Matthew 5:1-12): Understand what matters to God.
Be salt and light (Matthew 5:13-16): Understand the importance of being blessed by being a source of light and goodness to others.
Grace in Jesus, but leading by the law (Matthew 5:17-20): Embrace God's grace while also adhering to His moral principles.
Forgiveness and Reconciliation (Matthew 5:21-26): Focus on forgiving others and seeking reconciliation.
Purity (Matthew 5:27-30): Strive for purity in heart, thoughts, and actions.
Commitment and Marriage (Matthew 5:31-32): Understand the significance of commitment in relationships.
Yes be Yes and No be no (Matthew 5:33-37): Let your word be honest and straightforward.
Generosity that hurts (Matthew 5:38-42): Practice generous giving even when it requires personal sacrifice.
Love your neighbor and your enemies (Matthew 5:43-48): Embrace the command to love not only those close to you but also your enemies.
Charitable but not a show boat (Matthew 6:1-5) Experience the reward of generosity done in secret.
Pray (Matthew 6:5-15): Make prayer a central part of your relationship with God.
Fast (Matthew 6:16-18): Engage in fasting as a spiritual discipline.
Store up treasures in heaven (Matthew 6:19-21): Invest in eternal rather than temporary wealth.
Don't worry but seek the kingdom (Matthew 6:25-34): Replace anxiety with seeking God's kingdom.
Take the log out (Matthew 7:1-5): Self-examination and personal growth are essential.
Manage your wealth (Matthew 7:6): Be a responsible steward of your resources.
Keep asking, Keep seeking, Keep knocking (Matthew 7:7-11): Persevere in seeking God, his provision, and guidance.
Treat others well (Matthew 7:12): The sum of the law to practice kindness and respect.
Stay on the Narrow road (Matthew 7:13-14): Stay focused on the path of righteousness and avoid derailment.
Produce fruit (Matthew 7:15-20): May God prune and produce good works through you. And may your fellow man recognize God’s workmanship.
Call on his name for a life time (Matthew 7:21-23) Humbly call out Jesus’ name with fear and trembling.
Build with God (Matthew 7:24-27): Collaborate with God in building a strong spiritual foundation.

WHO CAN FOLLOW?
Leper- “go and let the priest examine you” 8:1-4
Roman officer’s servant- “go let it be for you as you have trusted” 8:5-13
Peter’s mom- “she got up and began to help him” 8:14,15
The Disciples 8:23-27
Demonized men- Go home to your own people and tell them Mark 5:18,19
Paralyzed man- Get up, pick up your mattress and go home. 9:6
Matthew the tax collector-he got up and followed him & threw a party 9:9
Official’s Dead Daughter- Jesus got up and followed him 9:18
Woman with blood disorder- your trust has healed you 9:20
Two blind men- shouting, son of David have pity on us 9:27
