Pastor Andy Cass

Life is full of hurdles—tests, trials, and temptations—but God calls us to jump, not retreat. In this message, Pastor Andy Cass challenges us to embrace the obstacles ahead, train with endurance, and trust God’s process of refinement.

TEXT:
Genesis 12:4, Genesis 22:1, Exodus 15:25, Exodus 16:4, Exodus 20:18-21, John 16:33, Hebrews 12:1-2

NOTES:
Big Idea: Tests are not meant to ruin you; they are meant to prune you.

Three Hurdles in Life:
Tests (from God) – Strengthen and refine us.
Trials (from life) – Unexpected challenges that require perseverance.
Temptations (from the enemy) – Often heightened during tests and trials.

Hurdle Mindset:
Don’t turn around—finish the race.
Don’t go under—shortcuts lead to failure.
Don’t go around—stay in your lane.
Don’t power through—jump with faith and obedience.
Lift One Foot over the hurdle at a time

Call to Action:
Stretch, train, and be intentional.
Find community (team) and hope.
Position yourself as both a runner and a cheerleader.
Final Thought:

“Tests are not meant to break you; they are meant to shape you.”
Jump—God is preparing you for the race ahead!
