2,000 dogs were surrendered or collected in the South East in 2014. We visited Paws Animal Rescue in Mullinahone, Co. Tipperary. They are currently housing 106 dogs and care for hundreds of dogs every year before they are re-homed. They urge people to think carefully before getting a pet and to consider a rescue dog instead of a new puppy.
