In the 2nd installment of #ROOTS for the month of October we welcome a familiar face to the #SlowSessions family. Making his debut for #ROOTS this Friday is New Zealand based Yiorgos.
Born and bred in the south of Johannesburg, South Africa, Yiorgos's love for house began in the mid - late '90s. Early influences include the likes of Carl Cox, Danny Tenaglia, the late Erick Morillo, David Morales, Sasha and John Digweed.
Yiorgos now resides in Auckland. He is a member of the elite crew of the Underground Kollektiv (UK) and resident of Deep House Auckland he appreciates and has an ear for deeper, melodic, minimal rhythms and driving bass-lines.
The undertones and resonances in his track selection reflect his unique Greek, African and Egypto-Arabic heritage.
