Description

Many instances of David’s generosity are enumerated in this message, especially from 2 Samuel 24 and I Chronicles 21-22, regarding David’s disobedience to God in counting the number of his warriors and the ensuing consequences. David admitted his sin and wanted the consequences to affect him and not others as much as was possible. Then when he found the place to build the temple, he didn’t want it to be given to him as a gift, he wanted to pay a good price to Oman for it. And when God told him he couldn’t be the one to build the temple, he accepted that and went on to spend a fortune amassing the materials for his son to build it.
