i just used the yawn at 3:39, before i heard that i was really struggling to think what to do.. but i heard some ambience in that yawn! really pleased with how this turned out!
track 1: 1a. in audacity paulstretched x10 then sliding pitch shift up 5 semitones
1b. first half of the yawn paulstretched to ~3 minutes and bassboosted at 200 hz
1c. second half of the yawn reversed, wahwah, and sliding pitch from -5 to 5 semitones across the track then paulstretched to ~3 minutes
all mixed down and noise reduction added
track 2: in ableton live 8 i loaded in track 1 and had the following fx: loop alienizer -> crystal reverb -> wide chorus. i twiddled the knobs while recording back in audacity
track 3: again in live 8 i had track 1 loaded with these fx: ambient formant sweep chorus -> atmosphazer. again i played around in real time while recording in audacity.
i fiddled with the gain of the tracks. track 2 is most prominent with tracks 1 and 3 providing barely liminal depth and width
