Description

The first ever Wild Green Mapathon is in full swing!

Our nonprofit, Wild Green Future, is partnering with the Global Roadmap lab at James Cook University to build a database of undocumented roads on the island of Borneo, a vital step to conserving the region's ecosystems.

Volunteers organize information by tracing undocumented roads visible on Google Earth. Researchers at Global Roadmap will use this information to understand the situation and predict where roads (and the ecological problems they facilitate) will go next.

This is our interview with Jayden Engert, PhD candidate in the Global Roadmap lab and ecological mapper extraordinaire!
