Ep. 81 - Jaakko Mäntymaa (Marianas Rest). In this episode I talk with Marianas Rest vocalist Jaakko Mäntymaa. Marianas Rest are from Kotka, Finland and formed in 2013. They play a melancholic style of death/doom metal. If you heard of bands like Swallow The Sun, Insomnium, or Omnium Gatherum you'll definitely dig Marianas Rest. Marianas Rest just released a new album entitled “Auer” via Napalm Records on March 24th. This is a great album and I highly recommend it if you like somber, melancholic doom metal.
