Ep 89 - Mental Cruelty. In this episode I talk with Lukas Nicolai (Vocalist). Mental Cruelty is a blackened death core band based out of Germany. Mental Cruelty released their 4th full-length album ‘Zwielicht’ on June 23th on Century Media. Take it from me, Zwielicht is one of the best albums of 2023. It pushes the boundaries of extreme music and seamlessly blends different styles of metal. I was a big fan of their previous album ‘A Hill To Die Upon’ released in 2021. Since then they recruited Lukas on vocals and moved to Century Media Records. We talk about Lukas’ background as a vocalist, how he joined Mental Cruelty, the new album, and bands he recommends.
