Ep. 94 - Wayfarer. In this episode I talk with Shane McCarthy (Guitar/Vocals). Wayfarer is an American black metal band formed in 2011 out of Denver CO. Wayfarer are often cited as the pre-eminent purveyors of Black Metal Of The American West. Wayfarer will release their fifth album “American Gothic” on October 27th through Profound Lore Records. With their latest album they continue to push the boundaries by incorporating black metal, gothic country, and americana to carve out their own genre of Western American Metal. I’ve been a supporter of Wayfarer since their first album and have been amazed by their progression. Their previous album “A Romance With Violence” is still one of the most accomplished albums ever to be released. We talk about Shane’s background, Wayfarer’s history/progression, the new album including films & music that inspired ‘American Gothic’. I hope everyone checks out their newest album.
