BREAKTHROUGH PRAYER: Amazing God, We pray that through the Holy Spirit Your preferred future for Groveport United Methodist Church will be made clear to us. Give us the courage we need to follow You wherever You may take us. We ask that You bind us together in love so that we can bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to our friends, families, and community. CALL TO WORSHIP:
Who is like our God in glory and strength?
The voice of the Lord thunders over the waters.
Who is like the Lord in power and might?
The voice of God breaks the mighty cedars.
Who is like the Holy One in awe and wonder?
The voice of the Almighty shakes the wilderness.
God sits enthroned as King forever.
Worship God in holy splendor.
Come! Let us worship the Lord.
HYMN “Jesus Loves Me” #191
AFFIRMATION OF FAITH: THE APOSTLE’S CREED
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; The third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
Amen
