BREAKTHROUGH PRAYER: Amazing God, We pray that through the Holy Spirit Your preferred future for Groveport United Methodist Church will be made clear to us. Give us the courage we need to follow You wherever You may take us. We ask that You bind us together in love so that we can bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to our friends, families, and community. Open our eyes so that we may see the amazing things You are already doing among us. AMEN.

CALL TO WORSHIP:
L: We have been given a ministry of reconciliation and sharing.
P: God reconciled us to God’s self through the witness of Jesus Christ.
L: No longer do we need to fear. P: Hope has been given to us.
L: So we are now ambassadors for Christ. God is making His appeal to all humankind through us - in all that we say, think and do.
P: Praise be to God who has placed God’s trust in us. We will strive to serve God faithfully. AMEN.

AFFIRMATION OF FAITH
We are the church called into being by Christ Jesus, sealed in baptism by his Spirit,sent as messengers who bear the Good News to all people. We are women and men, old and young, poor and rich, from many backgrounds, cultures and nationalities united in fellowship by the mercy and wisdom of God. We do nothing in and of ourselves. Instead, we are made new by the regenerative power of Christ Jesus. We are confirmed in grace, sanctified in love, and we serve in humility and weakness, trusting God to work in and through us. We are the church, and Christ is our head.
