Early yesterday morning, February 8, 2017 I got a call from Doug Moore of WFRN radio in South Bend/Elkhart, Indiana. I saw Doug's name appear on the screen of my phone. I knew it was not good news, as Doug never calls me and his Dad, Ed, had been ill. Doug told that Ed had passed away in the night. I told Doug about the text's I had been getting from Ed, and about his future plans for the ministry of WFRN! We shed tears and joy at the same time, knowing that Ed is with our Lord Jesus Christ and with his wife Jan. Ed taught me so very much while I worked for him from 1986 to 1995. I continued to serve Ed for a few years after moving to New Mexico as a consultant. I will never forget the day in 1986 when Ed asked me, So Dewey, how are you and the Lord getting along?"
