Disquiet Junto Project 0244: Euro Mixin

Moxie Ruin [disquiet0244]

The introductory 2:30 was achieved by balancing and mixing the three 20 second samples together, adding the result to itself back-to-back, then cloning this twice and subjecting to delay & reverb.

The rest was the result of ‘live’ mixing Station and Scissors in a demo copy of The Mangle as well as ‘live’ mixing Zraerza on ambient v.3 software. These tracks were then multi-tracked, treated separately and placed where they seemed to react best with each other.

The closing passage, including the synthetic stormy seashore, was created by taking short cuts from the other tracks, lengthening their tempos radically and treating with delay and reverb.

The Assignment: Combine tracks from three different European netlabels (Portugal, Spain, Switzerland) into one sonic union.
