Lost in the Afterparty
House and garage heads! This is a follow up to last years' banging mix, "Lost in the Party". I wanted to capture the spirit of the 2013 mix with some of my favorite tracks of the spring and summer but with an "after party" vibe. At just over 30 minutes, it's not as long as the original but is no less exciting!!
It begins with the track of the summer, Hodgson's "One Spliff", which warms you up for the impending and heavy-hitting garage sounds to follow. Some big names and big tracks take you into the peak of the mix (Sidney Charles, Copy Paste Soul, Dusky) and then I smooth it out with a much under-appreciated dancefloor gem from Echonomist (featuring the vocals of Boot Slap). The vibe is strong as Groove Armada takes it deep with their tech-house builder "Pork Soda" and then we end the mix with the sounds of Dale Howard and Audiojack (doing a remix of Hot Since 82's "Like You") as a nice reprise of those earlier garage basslines.
