I sat down with Daniel Contreras a week and a half ago and we talked about lots of music stuff as well as Daniel’s life and dealings with caring for his wife, Krystal. She unfortunately passed in November of 2019 after a long battle with ovarian cancer. Daniel talks about some of his memories with her, caring for her, how he’s been handling everything afterwards and we also touch on depression and anxiety.
To be more specific, we mostly talked music for the first 44 minutes, then we get into Daniel’s early years, caretaking and Krystal, more music, more of Krystal and grieving, then depression and anxiety around 1:24:45, more caretaking, offering condolences, a typical day towards the end, one second answer to a one second question at 2:14:15, then more music.
