This song started life many years ago as an instrumental piano boogie. At some stage I decided to add vocals, but only ever wrote one verse before other events intervened ,,, so ... the lyrics never got finished and the song never recorded.
I have been a follower of the extraordinary vocalist, poet and songwriter W. E. Bartolotta (Bill) on SC for some time now, and one day, in my head, I heard “Life of the Party” in his voice. I contacted Bill, who was quite enthusiastic about a collaboration, so I passed on what I had, along with a preliminary recording.
After some back and forth, we arrived at this final result.
