Welcome to episode 66 [originally broadcast on Wednesday 13 October 2021] of #mhTV​​​​​​​​​​​​​. This week Nicky Lambert and David Munday spoke with guest Beverley Brathwaite about diversity and cultural awareness in nursing practice.

Beverley Brathwaite Is a registered adult Nurse working clinical in acute medicine, Tissue viability and practice development, before becoming a Senior lecturer in adult nursing. Beverley has a degree in social science, a MSc in gender studies, is a registered teacher with the NMC and a senior fellow of the Higher education academy and is studying a PhD researching the British born black Caribbean female nurses’ occupational identity. Her area of research is focused on the intersectionality of Gender, using a post colonial feminist perspective of race/ethnicity and how this relates to health and society in general.
