The Art Of Healing is an interdisciplinary research project that is studying the potential for the arts and art-based therapies to support the mental health and wellbeing of children affected by conflict. MB - I joined the Centre for Sustainable Planning and Environments (SPE) in 2010 after completing my PhD on city-regional governance in the US and UK. I work extensively in community and arts settings. A large proportion of my research is 'socially engaged' and in collaboration with other disciplines (particularly the arts).

NH - Dr Nicola Holt is an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of the West of England (UW), Bristol, with scholarly interests in the psychology of creativity, and the arts for health and wellbeing. Nicola leads a special interest group on the arts and health at UWE (DRAW; www.drawuwe.com), is Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Arts & Health and Associate Editor for the International Journal of Art Therapy.

AR - Anurupa Roy is a puppeteer, puppet theatre director and puppet designer. She is the Founder and Managing Trustee of The Katkatha Puppet Arts Trust (www.katkatha.org), a puppet theatre group based in Delhi, India since 1998.

VS - Vikramjeet Sinha has worked in the social development sector for 22 years. His work is enriched by his academic combination of social anthropology, training in Anthroposophy, Clinical hypnotherapy and training in Arts-based therapy/Water Color Therapy in the Margeret Haushka along with his practice across 22 years with diverse communities in difficult situations.
