During these tough times we could all use a hero, or two, in our lives. So for the month of May I’m looking at superhero films. New or old, obscure or classics, if there’s a hero in it then its fair game. To start the month off I’m looking at two films that could easily be considered the roots of the modern superhero film, 1998’s Blade and 2000’s X- Men. These films were both game changers in the types of heroes that could make it to the big screen and how they were presented once they got there. Deep Space Nine offers up what may be the best episode of season 1 with, Duets, and Christopher Bram’s book Gods and Monsters wraps episode 18 up in a nice neat bow.
