In Nieuw-Guinea werd ik geplaatst aan boord van het landingsvaartuig L9608, klep 8 genoemd. Op 30 juni 1954 werd de koningin van het eiland Mapia naar Mapia teruggebracht, samen met alle oud-bewoners.
