In this passage we discover why in the words of Paul "For the what I received I passed on to you as of first importance." The substitutionary death and the resurrection of Jesus are so important to the reality of the Christian faith, and the impact of that event upon our past , our present and future. Furthermore the reality of the resurrection of Jesus , raises him above and beyond the subjective claims of any other gospel or world view. Jesus is what He said, "I Am the Way, the Truth and the Life and no one can come to the Father except through me"
