Bryan McDermand is an American Beach Volleyball and Indoor Coach, and a former indoor and open level sand player. He is also the founder and head coach of "Progression Beach Volleyball Club," an indoor sand volleyball club with a state-of-the-art facility in Chicago. His volleyball IQ and application has made him one of the most respected coaches and volleyball minds in his region and to some, the country. This no-frills, straight-to-the-point coach does very few things that do not have a purpose, and I always enjoy trying and failing to catch him off-guard.

Tune in, as we chat up "Progression Beach Volleyball," AVP Chicago, upsets being the norm, the qualifier and draw format, AVP America and its improvements, the future of the players and incentives to do this as a career, great defenders, being better parents to volleyball kids, the business of juniors and where it's going, punishment vs positive reinforcement, coaches actually doing their job, the "right" way to do this (?), understanding "studies show...," and MORE!
