Description

John Mesko is an American professional beach volleyball player, entrepreneur, commercial pilot and business owner. A former mountain bike racer (national downhill champ in 1995), he moved to the South Bay to compete on the beach scene in 2002. He has since then been in the top 15 for the better half of 2 decades and had played with and against the best talent in the world. A true renaissance man, having this highly intellectual human being on the podcast was nothing short of fun.

Tune in, as we chat up the "Motherlode" tournament in Aspen, Colorado, fun venues to play, "standing volleyball," things you can control on and off the court, what is exciting about the sport, what are the obstacles, the two generations of names he was played with, playing in venues of high altitude, the "man in the arena," the book "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance," attracting new and old fans back to the sport, some of the work he does outside the sport, and MORE!
