Cosmonaut Alexei Leonov, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, is one of the pioneers of space exploration.
He was a member of the original twenty selected for the first cosmonaut squad in 1960. In 1965 he carried out the first ever walk in space from the Voskhod 2 spacecraft. Ten years later he shook hands in orbit with astronaut Tom Stafford during the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project.
In a very special event at the Science Museum, hear Leonov talk about these missions and his truly remarkable space career.
