Episode 61 features a quality hour long session from Baltimore's Nathan Gorey: "For this mix I wanted to start us off with a deep, percussive, near-the-equator sort of vibe and build up the energy from there. I brought tracks that all have elements I love—eclectic percussion, bass lines with a lot of swing and movement, and sounds that make you imagine you're dancing deep in the jungle or in the desert as the sun's going down. There are a few lighter sections sprinkled throughout with some lighter vocal lines to latch onto as the tempo builds. The November installment of Obsidian's Housework party is November 18. Every month our collective Obsidian throws an all-night, two room party that is all underground house, techno, and tech house in the main room, and things like downtempo, liquid DnB, and chiller house in the back room. November's Housework is also the after party for Re:Imagine's Throwback 3 party at Bambou earlier that night. If you're in the Baltimore area, come party with us!
