Can't believe we're up to episode 62 of the Meet the Locals podcast, but here we are. This quality one hour journey through the underground comes to us courtesy of a recent arrival in DC's dance music community, co-owner of Weelhouse records, DJ Eli Cash. "The mix kind of plays like a mixtape because the style switches up a bit throughout, sometimes more abruptly than others. I don't really care about maintaining the illusion of a perfect set, and I kind of like for my sets to sound like a collage. I dig from a loose web of rougher house music, ranging from L.I.E.S. stuff to unreleased tracks by my online friends who I'll probably never meet IRL. The internet is wild. I do honestly find most of this music on Soundcloud in one way or another, which is where I seem to have the best luck finding fresh material. One last note: The first track is from UD Alta's latest @Weelhous release, a label I co-run with my friend Huestro. Enjoy!"
