Description

Joe Menendez
Director-Producer-Writer Joe Menendez is a multi-genre veteran of drama, action, horror, Sci-Fi,
comedy, family and rom-com.
Menendez has directed episodes of ELSBETH for CBS, STAR TREK: PICARD and EVIL for
Paramount Plus, SNOWPIERCER for AMC, and QUANTUM LEAP for NBC.
His newest feature HENRY DANGER: THE MOVIE for Paramount Plus, based on the hit
Nickelodeon series, debuted at #1 on the entire platform and remained in the top ten for several
weeks.
Additionally, Menendez was the Co-Executive Producer/Director on The CW's reboot of KUNG FU,
and was also the Co-Executive Producer/Director for Freeform's one-hour mermaid drama SIREN,
and Disney's IMAGINATION MOVERS.
He's also directed multiples of 12 MONKEYS, QUEEN OF THE SOUTH, EAST LOS HIGH, 12
DEADLY DAYS, and FROM DUSK TILL DAWN: The Series, including the final two episodes of the
series.
Menendez directed the action/comedy, LADRON QUE ROBA A LADRON (TO ROB A THIEF),
which opened at the time to a record-grossing opening weekend at the box-office for a Spanishlanguage
film in the U.S.. The sequel, LADRONES (THIEVES), was released by Lionsgate and
Pantelion Films in 2015.
Menendez has also directed several episodes of various Nickelodeon series: 100 THINGS TO DO
BEFORE HIGH SCHOOL, BIG TIME RUSH, TRUE JACKSON VP, JUST JORDAN,
UNFABULOUS, NED'S DECLASSIFIED SCHOOL SURVIVAL GUIDE, TAINA and THE
BROTHERS GARCIA for which he won an Alma Award for OUTSTANDING DIRECTING IN A
COMEDY in 2001. He has also directed multiples for Disney: FAST LAYNE, ANDI MACK, STUCK
IN THE MIDDLE, KIRBY BUCKETS, ZEKE AND LUTHER and IMAGINATION MOVERS.
Menendez also directed multiple half hours of LOS BELTRAN, VIVA VEGAS and SOLO EN
AMERICA for Telemundo.
Additionally, Menendez directed (and edited) 215 ten-minute reenactments PLACAS, also for
Telemundo. Menendez got his start directing reenactments for the nationally syndicated TV series:
REAL STORIES OF THE HIGHWAY PATROL. Menendez also wrote "Cinderella" and "The
Twelve Dancing Princesses" for HBO's animated series HAPPILY EVER AFTER: STORIES FOR
EVERY CHILD. He has added author to his eclectic career, having published his debut novel
MINDSHOT, a Sci-Fi thriller, in January of 2013.
