I have — many, many times — made reckless and impractical decisions in life. Every single time it was because I was placing a bet on myself that I could make things happen going in the opposite direction. Often times I lost my bets. A few times I won. The fee wins made up for the many losses (in my mind, of nowhere else). Today we talk about when to ignore common knowledge and be stupid.
