Getting in the game for the first time at my first pro basketball exposure camp, I had one objective: do something, anything, to stand out.
Every player there was trying to get a contract. I couldn't expect anyone to play unselfishly. I couldn't expect to be passed the ball a lot. But those excuses wouldn't help my career. I needed to make the decision makers in the room remember me. Something that could, maybe, get the crowd buzzing about me.
I got a few dunks in my first game, including a dunk off of a rebound over four guys that sent the entire gym into a frenzy. Mission accomplished.
