I once went to school with $20, and didn't do a great job of keeping track of what I'd spent and what should have remained. I got home and my mom asked me how much money I'd spent. I foolishly told her that I thought I may have lost some money.
“HOW MUCH MONEY!!!!?”
You can see by the punctuation that it was much more an admonishment than a question.
I was raised and taught to save and conserve money. Though I had slowly started to unlearn that conditioning, the real breakthrough came when I heard a wise man say, people's real problem isn't spending money. Their problem is not making enough.
Wow. The real problem wasn't what I did with money; it was not having enough to do things with. The source of the situation. That changed a lot of things for me.
Today's show is about getting to the source of a situation, the real issue that's creating the front-facing issue.
