I already had over 100,000 YouTube subscribers when I decided to start speaking professionally. One woman I spoke to was severely unimpressed.
“Speaking on camera isn’t the same as speaking on a stage.”
She was right. Through I was damn good at speaking even from the beginning, I hadn’t proved shit to that point. The attention I’d cultivated on YouTube wasn’t helping me close deals in a completely different industry. When it came to professional speaking, I didn’t have the right type of attention yet.
I have it now.
