I'm Sami from Peshawar, Pakistan. Currently, I'm residing in San Francisco and being inspired by the city's nightlife and the music scene. Aside from the city life, there's nature that I take the most out of for my inspiration.
I grew listening to classical eastern music due to coming from a diverse background but with the passage of my music taste has evolved and keeps evolving. I've been listening to electronic music for more than a decade now.
The biggest challenge for me was to introduce some deep and progressive music to the crowd in Pakistan's underground scene. The crowd was used to high BPM's, so bringing it down was a struggle.
My inspiration comes from different sources but if we're talking about musical inspiration it would be great artists like Satori, Nhar, Sebastien Ledger, Khen, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Sabo & Goldcap, Mira and many more.
A walk down the beach, A stroll through the streets of SF on a foggy day and good music with a story to tell.
This mix is expected to take you on a journey and has a story to describe the balance between the dark and light some deep grooves will make you think and will give a different perspective of life and the universe.
