P.O.S is an indie hip hop legend, mostly for pioneering a caustic sound which incorporates punk and hard rock influences in his beats. He is also the kingpin of the Minneapolis Doomtree Collective. Suffice it to say, I was psyched to meet the guy.
This interview was a real pressure cooker. We did the interview minutes before P.O.S went on stage in his tour van while the line-up of people who couldn’t get into the show watched. Also, this interview was shot for a documentary that Doomtree were filming. And P.O.S started the interview by telling me that this was his last record!
