Volume ten of the SCAPES Guestmix series we focus on Russia, guided by experimental producer and Hyperboloid Records artist Pixelord. Born in SIberia the producer has quickly established himself as one of the most progressive electronic musicians in the world, and much like Hyperboloid and it’s sub-label #INTERNETGHETTO has been putting on for the Russian electronic music scene for years.
Pixelord’s releases often feature technology related titles and imagery, and his new EP Blockchain is no different. Released on Infinite Machine earlier this month it sees House and Techno converge while incorporating trance and D&B elements for another project that’s pioneering in sound. For this mix Pixelord takes SCAPES into it’s darkest moment yet, highlighting a number of works from himself and homies including quite a few exclusives along the way.
SCAPES is a series in which an artist or music lover selects some of their favourite tracks from their hometown, country or a place they feel strongly connected to and presents a soundscape of that location.
