“Preparing the way” means dreaming of the day when we fully reconcile the way we see and treat others with the way God sees and treats others: as beloved children of God. Those who dream, prepare the way… breaking our own hearts open so that God can come in; acknowledging the brokenness, naming our dreams for the world—God’s dreams—that we can see like a glimmer on the horizon.
