Thomas was not with the other disciples when Jesus came, and so he doubted. As we look back over the past year, we realize that many of us can identify with Thomas’s doubt. “Can we be the church, the body of Christ, when we can’t see the body gathered in our sanctuary?” Yet Christ has opened our eyes to his risen body that can’t be confined by walls and is not diminished by precautions and social distance. Let us recognize the risen Lord in our midst here and now!
