This evening we discuss Rabbi Yehuda Amital's foundational story of hearing the cry of a baby, and why Moshe had to correct Yehoshua's mis-hearing the cries of the Jewish People after making the Golden Calf; the lessons we learn from not only how God reacted to our sin of the Golden Calf by teaching us how to overcome it, but showing us the manner in which we deserve God's forgiveness through selflessness in the midst of crisis, illustrated by an incredible story of Rabbi Biyamin Kamanetsky; and we explore the comprehensive life lesson derived from the mysterious and inscrutable Parah Aduma (red heifer), which also teaches us how to elicit questions from our children at the Passover Seder.
