In this episode, you’ll meet Jennifer Marnell. Jennifer has an amazing story. Growing up, Jennifer saw firsthand how addiction could bring havoc to a young adult's life. She remembers her mom picking up her sister from bars and getting her out of jail many times. Meanwhile, Jennifer was developing addictions of her own.
She became obsessed with working out and transforming her life in the gym. She had such a transformation that she was even featured in People Magazine and on The Oprah Winfrey Show. She battled eating disorders and even body dysmorphia. All of which she overcame while her sister was still in active addiction.
This realization, however, did not stop an alcohol addiction from knocking on Jennifer’s door. She was rocked to her core when her sister lost her battle to addiction. In an ironic twist, Jennifer went straight to the life of drugs and alcohol that took her sister from her. She, too, was headed for jails, institutions, and death! But God!!!!!! Jennifer was saved through a radical encounter with God and beat back addiction! Now she is leading a life of fulfillment, teaching and leading other women out of the darkness that robbed her of her sister and almost took Jennifer out!
