🤷🏽♀️I used to think that it was impossible to have a survivor job that would not get in the way of auditions. I thought employers would not understand and I will get fired.
😢As a result, I missed quite a few auditions for my survivor jobs that meant nothing to me in comparison.
🤷🏽♀️🤷🏿♂️As much as we need survivor jobs in musical theater, they can really get in the way of the ultimate goal. Finding the right place of employment that allows flexibility and doesn’t eat away at your passion is not easy.
💯Now, I have learned that the opposite is possible. My friend, Laura Stracko, has taught me how to find the right match in employment that doesn’t distract from auditions.
