Today we're praying for people who are marginalised, vulnerable, and experiencing homelessness in our city. Sam, who serves at Hope Street Café, has recorded a short video to help guide our prayers.
Psalm 72:12-14 (CSB)
“For he will rescue the poor who cry out and the afflicted who have no helper.
He will have pity on the poor and the helpless and save the lives of the poor,
for their lives are precious in his sight.”
Prayer points:
1. Support and provision across Winchester
Pray for the council, housing teams, and local services providing accommodation and practical support, that they would work together well and provide what’s needed.
2. Healing and recovery
Pray for drug and alcohol support services across the city, and for real help, hope, and freedom for those struggling with addiction.
3. Strength and wisdom for Hope Street Café
Pray for volunteers and leaders, for discernment, unity, and continued compassion as they serve.
4. Boldness and joy through the Holy Spirit
Pray for opportunities to share the gospel, and for an ongoing outpouring of the Holy Spirit, sustaining deep joy and drawing people to know Jesus.
