In our neighborhood, when we were little, we dreamed of 2020 as the future... Well, 2020 has presented itself to all of us with its less kind face. A pandemic has been joined by the need to move against racism, so 2020 is being a turbulent, dramatic and sometimes tragic year. Little future seems to be in it...
nubo (who puts his voice to the song) and I flatly refuse that 2020 is not the future, no longer for the two of us, but for the whole world. So "Blue Gloves" is full of expectations, despite the poverty of a blue-painted hand, the uncertainty of a post-pandemic, and how difficult it is not to be white in this world. It is what it is!
