One night, back when I used to play 4 or 5 open mics a week, I figured out how to play “Fields of Gold” by Sting before leaving the house so I could perform it that night which I did. I recorded one live take of it before heading out. That was the only time I ever performed it and this is the only recording I have of this, which I just found among 10 boxes of hundreds of hours of recordings, mostly original with a few spontaneous exceptions like this one.
