ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ਕਾਨੜਾ (ਮਃ ੫) ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅੰਗ ੧੩੦੧
ਨਾਰਾਇਨ ਨਰਪਤਿ ਨਮਸਕਾਰੈ ॥
The one who bows in humble reverence to the Primal Lord, the Lord of all beings
ਹੇ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ! ਹੇ ਨਰੋਂ ਕੇ ਪਤੀ! ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋ ਨਿਮਸਕਾਰ ਕਰਤੇ ਹੈਂ॥

ਐਸੇ ਗੁਰ ਕਉ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈਐ ਆਪਿ ਮੁਕਤੁ ਮੋਹਿ ਤਾਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
- I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice to such a Guru; He Himself is liberated, and He carries me across as well. ||1||Pause||
ਐਸੇ ਗੁਰੋਂ ਕੋ ਮੈਂ ਮਨ ਬਾਣੀ ਕਰ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਨੇ ਜਾਤਾ ਹੂੰ, ਜੋ ਆਪਿ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਰੂਪ ਹੈਂ ਅਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋ ਭੀ ਤਾਰ ਲੇਵੇਂਗੇ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਕਵਨ ਕਵਨ ਕਵਨ ਗੁਨ ਕਹੀਐ ਅੰਤੁ ਨਹੀ ਕਛੁ ਪਾਰੈ ॥
Which, which, which of Your Glorious Virtues should I chant? There is no end or limitation to them.
ਮਨ, ਤਨ, ਬਾਣੀ ਕਰ ਕੌਨ ਕੌਨ ਸੇ ਗੁਣ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰੀਏ, ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣੋਂ ਕਾ ਕੁਛ ਅੰਤ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ॥

ਲਾਖ ਲਾਖ ਲਾਖ ਕਈ ਕੋਰੈ ਕੋ ਹੈ ਐਸੋ ਬੀਚਾਰੈ ॥੧॥
There are thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, many millions of them, but those who contemplate them are very rare. ||1||
ਕਈ ਲਾਖੋਂ ਕ੍ਰੋੜੋਂ ਤੀਨੋਂ ਕਾਲੋਂ ਮੇਂ ਕਥਨ ਕਰਤੇ ਹੈਂ। ਕੋਈ ਐਸਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣੋਂ ਕਾ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ, ਭਾਵ ਅੰਤੁ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਤਾ॥੧॥

ਬਿਸਮ ਬਿਸਮ ਬਿਸਮ ਹੀ ਭਈ ਹੈ ਲਾਲ ਗੁਲਾਲ ਰੰਗਾਰੈ ॥
I am wonder-struck, wonder-struck, wonder-struck and amazed, dyed in the deep crimson color of my Beloved.
ਹੇ ਅਸਚਰਜ ਤੇ ਅਸਚਰਜ ਹਰੀ! ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋ ਦੇਖ ਕਰ ਮੇਰੀ ਬੁਧੀ ਅਸਚਰਜ ਰੂਪ ਭਈ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਲਾਲ! ਤੂੰ ਗੂੜੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ॥

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਤਨ ਰਸੁ ਆਈ ਹੈ ਜਿਉ ਚਾਖਿ ਗੂੰਗਾ ਮੁਸਕਾਰੈ ॥੨॥੧॥੨੦॥
Says Nanak, the Saints savor this sublime essence, like the mute, who tastes the sweet candy, but only smiles. ||2||1||20||
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਸੰਤੋਂ ਕੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਰਸੁ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਹੂਈ ਹੈ ਔਰ ਵਹੁ ਕਹਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਤੇ। ਜੈਸੇ ਗੁੰਗਾ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਮਿਠਾਈ ਖਾ ਕਰ ਮੁਸਕਾਵਤਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰੰਤੂ ਉਸ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਵਾਦ ਕੋ ਕਹਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਤਾ, ਭਾਵ ਆਤਮੁ ਰਸੁ ਅਨਭਵ ਗੰਮ ਹੈ॥੨॥੧ ॥੨੦॥
