It is better to live in a desert, than with a woman full of fret
She will complain, contend, allege and defend; always inclined to upset
The desert nights freeze and the day shines down warm
It’s a land full of sand, snakes, lizards and thorns
And just because its better does not mean its best
To leave and go there will not cure your stress
Whether desert, or attic, dog house or the street
What is best is to never give up on truth and peace
Work to that end, promote one and the same
Be patient, forgive, don’t condemn or cast blame
You may save your family, your children and wife
From a fragmented, bitter, delusioned life
And in all this, more than ever before
You will grow and draw closer to Gods word and the Lord
