Description

This weeks Irie Jamms Show is a 3 hour VINYL SPECIAL where we shine the spotlight on UK's Cultural Warrior Macka B. With a career spanning over thirty years his potent lyrical delivery over some of the finest Treasure Isle and Studio One riddims ever created is a sheer joy. DJ 745 caught up with Macka B in Jamaica to gain a deeper insight into the acclaimed 'Never Played a '45' album produced by Peckings Brothers and Macka B and released on VPAL Music.

DJ 745 plays a clip from a dance that took place in 1984 in his hometown of Leicester with Wassifa alongside Saxon Sound where a young Macka B gained the attention of Fashion Records that led to his early recordings.

Other vinyl gems from Irie Ites Records on the Cuss Cuss riddim, Kazam Davis and Micah Shemaiah and some revival classics from Ini Kamoze, Little John, Tony Tuff and more.
