AN UPDATE: the city will be extending the CAP work for another 3 months, and calling on community representatives to help get a final plan that meets its goals. The city of Eugene has listened to the community!
For two years 350 EUGENE has been pushing for the community to be involved in the content development of the CAP. Now, in literally the final week when approval was scheduled, the city has acknowledged that the Draft Climate Action Plan is not complete, and will ask the community to help improve it!

The City will convene a Mayor’s Ad Hoc Committee to work for three months making the adjustments that are necessary for the CAP to reach its goals, before bringing the final CAP back to council. Representatives from the community will be included on this working committee.
