Description

It is a sad day for vaping. I sent two Suicide Bunny liquids to test for diacetyl and acetyl propionyl. The results were indeed disappointing.

Here are the lab test results from Enthalpy Analytical, Inc. on diacetyl and acetyl propionyl levels in two e-liquids from Suicide Bunny (Sucker Punch and Mother’s Milk):

IMPORTANT NOTE: There seems to be some confusion regarding this note on page 6 of the report:

"Diacetyl and 2,3-pentanedione were not detected in the method blank at levels above the minimum detection limit (MDL)"

This comment refers to the control group, not the samples. The samples tested do indeed test well above MDL for acetyl propionyl.

Dr. Farsalinos, M.D. and Dr. Gene Gillman, PhD. call in to explain what the lab results mean. This is essential listening for all vapers who care about the health of their lungs, and avoidable risk in the e-liquid manufacturing process.

Here is an email from Wolfpack Distributing (the Suicide Bunny distributor) that states that Suicide Bunny e-liquids are diacetyl AND acetyl propionyl free. This statement directly conflicts with the results reported by the above lab test results:

At the time of this broadcast, Suicide Bunny/Wolfpack distributing has yet to publish any lab tests on acetyl propionyl.

Dr. Farsalinos’ Website:

Dr. Farsalinos’ study that found that testing 159 different e-liquids found that 74% contained diacetyl and/or acetyl propionyl. Some of the liquids tested had levels of diacetyl and/or acetyl propionyl six times more than a tobacco cigarette, and tested at 450 times the safety level (assuming the individual is vaping 3 mL per day).
