Yeah yeah...I'm over here making music, doing my thing, (and, what is to be.) - Creativity is a superb release for my peace of mind, aside from the workload. But, the thing is…my awareness of what is going on around our world, (outside of my own space?) - It has not shut down as a result…
Yes, I'll keep writing songs, and making art, while the world spins along. I’m still, ever present, and positively hoping for the best, too.
However, paying attention to what is 'factually' going on in our world, and learning about how I can help change it for betterment?
Well, this is what takes a top precedence for me, because, it profoundly affects everything, and everyone…and, it’s heartbreaking in keeping track.
I genuinely care what will happen to all of us.
The news isn’t always so good.
“Will the correct decisions be made in order to sustain us?
Does it include fairness? Can we get it together in time?”
Here, in America, there is an election going on, which will determine the outcome of our functioning democracy.
However, anyone not really paying attention, is wholeheartedly kidding themselves, if thinking it only affects this country for the short term.
FACT: Our election is a worldwide event, and, It affects everyone.
This reality always involves complex inquiry, but steadfast actions.
“How can we make it better, and, is this for everyone?”
If you're not asking? You don't actually care about anyone but yourself. That's not okay.
It is IMPORTANT to pay attention to these facts.
Sure…keep on doing your own thing, as positively, and, as best as you can. Of course you should live your life! Make the best of it! Have fun!
But, GET OUT YOUR VOTE, too!
Recognize the seriousness of it all.
This is for everyone, and not just yourself.
It matters in our nearest future, and beyond.
We can positively change these directions, if, simultaneously working together.
By allowing history to be our guide for truly understanding these odds / risks / consequences? We have the maps and receipts.
“Paying attention. We all must do something to help.”
These historical moments require our actions.
Being progressive, and not regressive.
This is what matters!
All of us together.
We can do this.
